Aesthetic Medicine and Wellness is the most rapidly growing field of medicine in the United States – and certainly one of the most exciting ones! But how can you decide if this field is the right one for you? The RESTOR Academy Shadow Day Course is designed to help you answer that question by giving you a âpeak behind the curtainâ of what a day in the life of an Aesthetic Provider is really like.
Students will have opportunities to talk with Senior staff at their RESTOR Location about the realities of life as an aesthetic provider and get all their questions about moving into this exciting field answered! You will also be able to observe a variety of procedures and see our patient’s amazing transformations.
This course is designed to provide our students with a solid grounding in the science of the aging process, and an understanding of how we can use the various tools in our aesthetic toolbox to truly make aging optional for our patients – on the outside and inside both! Students will be assigned online training modules before their shadow day to give them the background they will need to understand the âwhyâ behind the procedures they will observe, and to get the most out of their experience with us!
The curriculum will include: an overview of facial anatomy, differentiating toxins â dosage strength, review of reconstitution, review of complications, and management of patient expectations. Instruction and one-on-one hands-on training will focus exclusively on botulinum toxin injections for glabellar (frown) lines and crow’s feet with an introduction to more complex techniques of the lower face and neck.
You will be contacted by a RESTOR Academy Trainer to schedule your shadow day. This call will include a discussion of your goals for the day and the types of procedures you would like to observe.
Your Trainer will assign you online study modules. At RESTOR Academy we believe that understanding the medical âwhyâ and âhowâ behind the procedures we do helps our students get the most lasting benefit from their Shadow Day.
Arrive at the RESTOR location which was selected for you to meet your trainer and receive a tour and orientation to the day.
Attend morning huddle with your trainer and the rest of the RESTOR team.
Shadowing and observing patient treatments with the Senior RESTOR staff.

Please Note: RESTOR Shadow days are designed to give our students a realistic look at a career in Aesthetics. We try to prioritize the procedures that our students are most interested in – but since these are actual patients (and not models) we cannot guarantee that people will not no-show, cancel, or otherwise change their treatment plan. Therefore – we do NOT guarantee that you will see any specific procedure during your shadow day.

All online modules must be completed and exams passed prior to the shadow session to ensure youâre prepared to benefit fully.
